WHY I AM
Running For Bishop
I too understand the pains of the pews and the pulpits and have a lifetime love for our Zion. I have absolutely no doubt in my heart God is calling me to this office in our church. Honestly, I felt the calling before I felt the desire to seek the office in the church.
After 33 years of pastoral ministry, and 3 years as a Presiding Elder traveling across the church, my heart's desire is stronger than before even though, at first I tried to find excuses not to follow through with this ministry calling process. I love God and the AME Church, which I have been in and a part of all of my life. I just desire the opportunity to sit at the Episcopal table to be in position to help make our church better.
As a bishop, I will bring more passion, partnership and caring for the people. It is my desire to continue to make a positive difference/change in the church, having passion for the pew and the community, implementing Generational Love and Strategies for engagement in our Zion.
Continuing to develop partnerships for effective pastoral and parishioner care/counseling, personal family challenges, financial marketing, healthcare, retirement, life insurance, living wills, estate planning and social security services and social justice for all generations.
And to serve the people. It is all about the People. Supporting, listening to and being available for people of all generations
